Hi GMC!
This is a lesson on very popular way of playing neoclassical as well as heavy metal music, it consists of one note on top of the musical phrase being repeated over and over. It’s usually the highest note in the sequence. I used basically two ways of approaching this problem; one is playing in a comfortable position which enables you to play melody without finger rolling, using B and G strings as much as possible, and another is quickly changing positions and reaching desired tone with one finger then switching back to basic positions. There are 4 scales used: D major, E harmonic minor, G major and A minor.
Regards!
Vasilije
