Hi rockers!! Today we´ll have a look at an illustration of how to make a riff with the great heavy metal and hard rock resource, the pedal note.
Here, I created some examples in which we’ll explore different rhythmical options and accentuations to make a riff. All of the examples are in key of A.
In the first example, you’ll find the accentuation in the first eight note. The second example’s got an accentuation in the third eight note. The third example got an accentuation in the second eight note. And the example number four got the accentuation in the fourth eight note.
Then the other examples are a combination of accentuations.
Always play the pedal note with a palm muting, and loosen your right hand in the accentuations.
The idea of this tutorial is to explore different accentuations use to create your own riffs with pedal note. Basically, I want to prepare and inspire you...
...to fly!!!
