Hi GMC-ers!
In this lesson I will show you the five pentatonic modes and how we can use them together in the style of Robben Ford. This approach provides a fundamental base for improvising.
The key is G and I only play the five pentatonic modes. There is no blues or modal notes in it, only the five pentatonic notes.
After learnig this exercise try to play similar variations, alway starting with one mode and then connect it to the other ones.
The backing is similar to a blues circle in G:
G7 G7 G7 G7 C7 C7 G7 G7 D7 C7 G7 G7
I hope this practice will help you with your improvising!
Good practicing!
-Laszlo
