Next Level Amazing, Thiago! I downloaded the GP file and will be playing along (just not quite as fast as you, lol) Thanks again. You can tell the admin I signed up for this site because of this song.

I just realized that I know you from your 2nd place in "Soundtrack of Summer." I had just started guitar back then and was marveling at your control over the guitar.

@ Thiago - but it's great if such an incident can give birth to a killer lesson, which happened here. Thanks again!

Hi Kris, Thanks bro! Yeah I had a very rough time during the process of designing the song, for this lesson, I got my wisdom tooth putting a lot of pressure on my molar and it was causing a lot of pain displacing the other tooth and because of that I got an infection in the root of this tooth, I was like Sloth, the monster guy in The Goonies, a film from 1985.
Long story short, I went to a dentist and he pulled my molar out and I came home with a giant face, in the top of that I had to take some antibiotic kind of strong I was very dizzy and in pain I couldn´t even talk, I thought it would be fair to name the song "Sigh of Pain", as it was following me during the whole process!
But I really hope this song and lesson can inspire you to Rock your guitar very loud!

Hey folks, here I am again with a new lesson, I really hope you have as much fun studying it as I had while creating the whole idea, this is one of the styles I really enjoy.
I am playing a riff over E7 Phrygian Dominant (Harmonic Minor field of the scale) and it leads to the part in Am where I play some nice licks using Am7 Pentatonic with blue note, and some chromatic notes.
I also use hybrid picking technique in some moments and a combination of alternate picking with sweep picking. In the end I play a group of arpeggios with tapping over a cycle of 4ths which is very common in these styles, see the harmony here:
Am | Dm | G | C | F | Bb | E7 ...
I hope you enjoy it and Rock Big!
Best - Thiago
Gear:
Guitar used: Fender USA Highway 1
Strings: Dean Markley Blue Steel 0.10
Effect: I used Guitar Rig 4, the chain was guitar + Focusrite 24 pro + iMac into my Cubase 5, and to get this sound I used a combination of Gratifier on the Vintage mode + 4X12 Vintage cabinet V1 with the green distortion pedal on the top of everything called "Screamer" with the Delay from Cubase plugins called "MonoDelay" and here is what I´ve changed there to get this sound on the solo guitar: Delay/1/4, Feedback/10.5, Mix/10.0 then you are ready to go!
Tempo: 140 bpm
Key: C
Recording Gear:
Cubase 5
Guitar Rig 4
