Kristofer Dahl10th September 2009YES!
We are approaching true beginner material stuff here, thanks Laszlo.
If you are a level 1-2 student and haven't really finished a whole lesson yet - I would strongly suggest you have a go at this one. You will get great practical examples of solo and rhythm application over a typical chord progression.
Still even this lesson present lots of potential obstacles for a beginner - so if (or should I say WHEN) you encounter problems don't hesitate to ask for help in the forum!

I welcome everyone to my first blues lesson!
This is a simple tradtitional slow blues in which we will use the A pentatonic scale in three different positions, combined with the blues scale. A perfect lesson for absolute beginners. With simple practices like this we can learn the scales easily and we’ll be able to improvise.
In the first part we can hear an 8-bar blues pattern that consists of the following:
A5 A5 D5 A5 E5 D5 A5 E7/9#
In the first four bars of the solo we will use the blues pentatonic scale in the fifth position.
In the 5. and 6. bars we will use the same scale, but in two other positions and we will close the solo in the fifth position again.
This lesson contains:
-bends
-vibratos
-sliding
-rhythm pattern
Good practicing
-Laszlo
