fkalich11th August 2010You are one of the main reasons I rejoined GMC again. I will say it again. I had listened to your play and thought "damn, that guy is so good, amazingly so". But I wondered if that was just my taste. But then I looked at your bio and see this has also been widely recognized in Argentina. Anyway, thanks.

Hi GMC!! Today we´ll have a lesson inspired on the great Steve Morse!
This guitar player is amazing! The way he uses chromatic phrases, the swing and the arpeggios is awesome!
This lesson is inspired on the Deep Purple side of Steve. It starts in the pentatonic minor of D, you must pay attention to the swing in this licks. The fast part is the chromatic lick; you should practice it slowly.
Then come the arpeggio part. The chords are:
Bb - Am - Dm - C - Bb - F - C - %
Bb - Am - Dm - C - Bb - F - C - % - A7 - %
This part’s got a melodic line in the higher notes. These notes must sound more strong and clean that the others.
And if you like Deep Purple, I have a tribute band too. It’s called Perpendicular, you can listen us here: www.myspace.com/perpendiculartributo .
Have fun!!!
