Hello GMC!
-In today's lesson you are going to explore some blues bass grooves! In this lesson we are going to cover the variation of 12 bar blues in which we have all the chords to be dominant 7 type. This type of progression is often associated with the name "Chicago blues".
-In this lesson you are going to learn a new bass groove which you can use to accompany any dominant 7 blues accompanynment. You are going to learn which notes you can use when improvising this type of line and you will practice playing a shuffle rhythm on bass.
-This lesson is in the key of G. You are going to use a appropriate mixolydian scales to improvise your bass line.
-Key: G major
-Tempo: 80 bpm
-Time signature: 4/4
-Tuning: standard
-Difficulty: beginner
Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Am Fender Jazz Bass deluxe, equal mix of both pickups with added bass and middle on onboard preamp - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and flat eq there.
Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson's feedback and in my instructor board at the forum.
Enjoy and I hope you'll have a lot of fun practicing!
