Hello GMC!
-Today we are going to tackle some Country music bass and you are going to learn a useful bass pattern that can be used effectively in many other music genres too, for successful improvising. This beginner level lesson will help you practice your left and right hand technique as you go through it.
-Backing track is fun Country style one. You are going to play half and 8th notes in this lesson with a little Staccato feeling to them. You will learn how to improvise a bass line in Country music with the use of roots and 5ths as your note choice exclusively.
-This lesson is in the key of C major. All notes will belong to C major scale.
-Key: C
-Tempo: 120 bpm
-Time signature: 4/4
-Tuning: standard
-Difficulty: beginner
Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Peavey Cirrus bass with active soapbar pickups, equal mix of both of them with added treble and bass on onboard eq - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and slightly added bass and treble there (at 1 o'clock position). Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson feedback and in my instructor board at forum.
Enjoy and I hope you'll have a lot of fun grooving in this one!
