This time we will study the style of Extreme - an excellent, guitar driven hard rock band.
Hi GMC'ers! This time we will see the style of Extreme, this excellent hard rock band. The guitar player of Extreme is very well known among the fans of the guitar players, he's Nuno Bettencourt. The rhythm guitar in this band always was a mixture of the heavy hard riffs with cool funk rhythms. I tried to get the style of the record that I like the most that is Pornograffiti II.
Nuno used to tune his guitar in Eb but I've made this lesson in standard tuning so you won't have to retune your guitars.
The lesson is in E but sometimes could fit in the Em pentatonic with the blue note. The division of the lesson consists in three riffs with some variations on each. You can try to improvise over this rhythms and see what happened.
I hope you enjoy the lesson!
