berko10th February 2009Man, I wanted to do some similar under the drum roll at the end but I approached that stuff a bit fast and it wouldn't have done any good to the balance. But this is great, many stuff to learn from this
That's why it's great if host instructors come up with something overt the same BT after a collab. Like Pedja did as well and Emir with his Vinnie Moore style solo.
Vasilije Vukmirovic10th February 2009Great lesson!
Fingerpicking affects the sound very much, chicken picking, I think how this technique is called.

Ivan Milenkovic10th June 2009Thanks mate!
The difficulty level is relative with all the lessons, sorry about this! Sometimes the levels don't match for everyone, and I agree it could be a bit higher. When determining a level, the safest bet is to check out the slow videos, and then see how doable the lesson is. Cheers mate ![]()

First in the series of fingerpicking blues solos. This is a beginner level lessons for those who want to spice up their fingerpicking blues technique with some cool blues licks. Most of the licks can be played with the pick as well.
Hi GMC, welcome to the first lesson of the three-level solo series called "Fingerpicking Blues Solo"! :)
As the name implies, we will learn some fingerpicking technique mainly intended for the blues. Some of you may recognize the backing - we used it in January Blues Stop Collaboration. The backing has 2 standard I IV V progressions, and in the second part, over the first 4 I chords, there are stops that allow us to express better and pull out some cool licks.
This lesson is mainly intended for beginners in fingerpicking blues. If you have already started to use your fingers when playing the blues, here are some ideas and licks that you can learn and incorporate into your own style if you want.
Backing is a standard 12 bar blues from E (E, A, B), tempo is 130bpm.
This lesson contains:
- Fingerpicking technique
- Blues licks
- Beginner Level fingerstyle blues
- Stop-time Blues Backing track
Enjoy! :)
