Hey GMC, welcome to my new Funky Lesson. In this lesson we are going to do some nice funky licks that involve out thumb for playing bass lines.
Playing bass lines has some advantages. For example you can have all other fingers free for some treble string licks. Here we are trying to create a feel that there are two guitars. One for bass lines, and other one for rhythmic treble lines.
You can use these 5 grooves as basic ideas to develop your own bass thumb licks. Playing with the thumb can be very fun, but approach it as you would any other exercise - with metronome.
This lesson contains:
- Fretting bass strings with thumb finger
- Cool Funky Licks
- Dominant chord strumming and rhythmic patterns
