Wilska20th August 2009Great lesson Lian! Sound very much like todays In Flames. Maybe you could make a lesson in the "old" style some time? =) I much preferred the In Flames before Clayman. Too much pop-influence imo these days. They can still riff but their singer has lost ruined his voice many years ago =(

Hi there! welcome to a new lesson. this time we´ll focus on this amazing band called IN FLAMES.
In flames is a band who has changed a lot its style through the years.
this lesson is mostly based on "take this life" from the album Come Clarity.
it´s composed in the key of B minor and I use a lot of the In Flames´trademarks.
The goal here is to get a violent take with a melodic feeling. that´s all we need. so, pay attention on your right hand (palm muting) and practice it in a slow tempo if you need it.
