Teaches you the modes of the major scale.
Hello GMC!
-In today's lesson we are going to learn about modes of the major scale. You are going to learn some new scales derived from the Major Scale so please make sure you are comfortable with the major scale and its theory prior to learning this lesson.
-We have a rocking backing in this one to practice your modes over it. Along side theory knowledge, this lesson will provide you with a good right and left hand workout. I'm finding this approach very good since you are developing technique and theory in the same practice time!
-This lesson will cover the modes of the C major scale.Once you learn their construction and shapes you will be able to transfer the knowledge to other keys.
-Key: C
-Tempo: 130 bpm
-Time signature: 4/4
-Tuning: standard
-Difficulty: beginner
Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Peavey Cirrus bass with active soapbar pickups, equal mix of both of them with added treble and bass on onboard eq - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and slightly added bass and treble there too(at 1 o'clock position).
Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson feedback and in my instructor board at the forum.
Enjoy and I hope you'll have a lot of fun practicing this one!
