classic and metal belongs together. You can hear that by listening to power metal bands like stratovarius. ;-)

Alexiaden9317th April 2009Wow, this is insane, Lian. I am a new GMCer interested in almost any kind of metal, mostly neo-classical, epic, and Iron Maiden-based. I see the difficulty is 6, which will be challenging for me, I'll try it after finishing Hisham's "Heavy Metal - Solo & Rhythm exercise" (Lvl 5).
Could you please suggest some other exercise by you or someone else where I could practise my fast picking, position change and string-skipping?
I love your music !
Alexander

Use the A harmonic minor scale and try to compose an etude with alternate picking & string skipping.
