A very nice exercise - I think I will work this into my technical practice sessions along with your palm muting exercise (that exercise was responsible for my biggest improvement to date). I suspect this exercise will have a similar effect on my technical abilities and lead to some cool innovation possibilities.
Dejan Farkas11th May 2009Thanks both ![]()

The sliding technique which can be used in lot of creative ways, here is one of them. We use the C Minor Pentatonic scale and we move through all 5 shapes.
Hi there and welcome to the lesson.
This lesson is about use of sliding technique which can be used in lot of creative ways, this is just one of them. Here we have C Minor Pentatonic scale and we move through all 5 shapes. Notice that we use just two strings for the exercise, 3rd and 4th and all the sliding is done on 4th string.
Key signature: C Minor
Time signature: 4/4
Tempo: 100 bpm
Enjoy it. :)
Dejan
