Hey everybody, today we will cover the Red Hot Chilli Peppers song "Californication" :)

This song (and the whole album) became one of the trademarks or RHCP band and marked the return of John Frusciante in the band. The song is very simple, but beutiful at the same time.

In this song there are several very basic chord shapes used. There are only three videos, one video for each component of the song. In the last video we are covering solo by splitting it into 4 simpler sections.

The sound that I used for the lesson:

- bridge hum pickup

- slightly overdriven Fender (Twin Reverb) amp emulation

This should emulate the sound that Frusciante is having using his Gretch White Falcon electric guitar, which adds a special heaviness to individual notes.

The lesson is divided into parts, and by combining them you can play a full song. Here is the component layout of the song, and videos where they are covered:

INTRO (video 2)

VERSE (video 2)

BREAK (video 2)
