Hello GMC!
- In this lesson you are going to play some smooth rock! You are going to learn how to construct a rock groove over a ballad backing track. You are going to play with rhythm placement of notes in order to construct a groovy driving bass line.
- In this lesson you are going to play some syncopated rhythms, walking bass feel and classic 8ths grooving. Line is constructed using arpeggios as note choice to outline the chords.
- Lesson is in the key of C major, chords in backings are derived from that scale. All notes played in the bass line will fit C major scale.
-Key: C major
-Tempo: 120 bpm
-Time signature: 4/4
-Tuning: standard
-Difficulty: beginner
Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Am Fender Jazz Bass deluxe, equal mix of both pickups with added bass and middle on onboard preamp - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and flat eq there.
Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson's feedback and in my instructor board at the forum.
Enjoy and I hope you'll have a lot of fun practising this lesson!
