Hi GMC'ers! In this lesson we'll see some riffs and a little solo about the Steve Morse style applied to his work on the Dixie Dregs. This group of jazz fusion formed in the 70's was the band where Morse played before his appearance in Kansas and Deep Purple. I took the influence to make this lesson about the rocking spirit more than the fusion sounding because I think Morse has that cool bluesy sound with he still plays rock, fusion and progressive music.
The techniques that we are going to use in this lesson are:
-Alternate picking
-Left hand muting
-Sliding
-Legato
-Double stops
I hope you enjoy the lesson! :)
