Hello GMC!

Welcome to my new solo lesson. Today we are focusing on phrasing with using a volume knob.
This type of phrasing gives the best results with delay and reverb.
Remember to pick strings a little bit before note in order to have time to swell your sound.

I used three other keys in this lesson (h, d, f), but scales are mostly the same - major scale and minor pentatonic scale.

The style of the middle part of the lesson reminds me of Joe Satriani, so this could be interesting for Satch fans :)

We are going to use:

- volume knob,

- whammy bar,

- vibrato,

- bending

This is the preset I used for the POD XT live for this lesson:

Amp: MS 2003 Deity Lead, Drive 7 - Bass 5 - Middle 5 - Treble 5 - Presence 5

Cab: 4x12 1968 Green 25s

Dly: Delay Time - 90 (quarter note) - Mix 28%

Rev: Cavernous - Mix 26%

Stomp: Vetta Juice (only in the middle part)

The lesson is available in the guitar pro 5 file, mp3 backing tracks included.

Have fun!

Piotr
