David Wallimann27th April 2009Thanks a lot!
For this one I used Guitar Rig 3...
fkalich27th April 2009You play that style very well, and authentically. As is typical of your play. You sometimes can sound more like the guy you are covering than the actual guy himself does, if that makes any sense.

David Wallimann8th May 2009Answering right now!

In today's lesson, we'll take a look at some tasty bluesy licks in the style of Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top. Before you start working through the following ideas, make sure you are comfortable with the minor pentatonic scales we'll be using to build our lead. Check out the diagrams underneath if you are not comfortable with these scales.
Don't worry about speed but strive for a clean and accurate technique. The goal in this lesson is to equip you with ideas that will improve your musical vocabulary.
Once you are done with the written solo, take some time jamming over the looped backing track and try these ideas in your own personal musical way.
Have fun!
