Hello GMC!
-In today's lesson we are going to practice playing double stops using the slap bass technique. Double stops will prove to be a very useful tool in your slap bass vocabulary and they can add a lot of diversity to your own bass lines. They can be used very effectively to add powerful brakes in slap lines.
-I composed this little funky tune for you to practice playing double stops in a tight groove situation. This lesson will help you to get your "popping" fingers working to execute nice double stops accurately in time.
-I used A minor scale for composing this lesson.
-Key: Am
-Tempo: 120 bpm
-Time signature: 4/4
-Difficulty: intermediate
-Tuning: standard EADG
Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Peavey Cirrus bass with active soapbar pickups, equal mix of both of them with added bass and treble on onboard eq - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" speaker and slightly added bass and treble there (at 1 o'clock position).
Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson feedback and in the forum.
Enjoy and have a lot of fun double stopin' this one!
Cheers!
