Hello everyone, welcome to more arpeggio workout. Our challenge today is to maintain a bass line unaltered while we play the higher line.

This exercise will help us to memorize the thumb placing, and beginners may feel the position "p" on string 5 is kinda stretchy.

For thumb attack I don't recommend to use rest stroke, it will make your task almost impossible when playing fast and trying to go from string 3 to string 4. The most important thing is not to get the hand out of place cause the simultaneous action of "p-m-a", specially when we have 3 attacks in the higher line (Nš 76 to 79) or 4 attacks (Nš80).

In the explanatory videos I will play the bass line alone, then add the high line, and then make a speed burst (double speed). Speed burst are a nice technique for learning difficult things that you want to play fast, the slow version helps you to know where is everything placed and the fast version tests your precision and relaxation.

Have fun.
