Hello and welcome to my first lesson in guitarmasterclass. This is a "toque" or style of Soleá, which is one of the most important styles in flamenco music.

The word "soleá" comes from "soledad", that means loneliness. So this is a style with deep and melancholy feeling. The metrical structure of soleá is 3/4, needing four bars to complete a cycle of twelve beats. Accents are found normally in beats 3, 6, 8, 10 and 12, but there are many accent variations. In this lesson we will work on tecniques like rasgueados, golpes, alzapúa and arpeggios.

I will explain this terms little by little in this lesson and the nexts. I hope you enjoy it!
