How are you doing, GMC? Here is the fist variation of "La Folia" by Giuliani, which was shown on my previous lesson.

The theme was written in two-part counterpoint. This variation is mostly single line, but it sounds like two parts are talking to each other like "question and answer".

In technical aspect, it will be a great scale exercise. You can practice finger-style alternate picking, with this piece.

Have fun!

Thanks Kosei - this will be a great left hand exercise for acoustic gmc:ers! biggrin.gif (Electric gmc:ers might also find that practcing left hand movements is more demanding on the acoustic guitar!)

Hi Kosei, love your classical lessons. Just learned Bourree. Would you consider adding lessons to La Folia with the latter parts of the video in this link...?

Hi, 88!
You just joined GMC, right? Welcome on board!
The first 3 variations are already on GMC. I was going to stop it, but I will consider to add the rest of the piece. I think the finale might be too long and complicated for online lesson, but let's see..
