Ten minutes of slow, quiet and gentle warming up should be enough. Let's start with some humming! Always start off with humming even if your voice feels fresh and ready to go. Gentle hum with your mouth closed.

Like the athlete’s body, the voice has to be gentle warmed up to work in the best way and to avoid damage. Singing energetically from “cold”, especially at the top of the voice, is guaranteed to produce a rough sound.
Ten minutes of slow, quiet and gentle warming up should be enough.
    Let’s start with some humming!
Always start off with humming even if your voice feels fresh and ready to go. Gentle hum with your mouth closed. Do not force. Do what ever comes easiest and most natural. Do not strain to go up in pitch. If you can’t match a pitch don’t worry about it, your voice is not flexible enough yet.
