Hi, GMC! This is the fifth Study in G major from Matteo Carcassifs "25 Melodious Studies for Guitar".

This study consists of mostly single line melody with constant string changes. It has an effect of sounding like two melodies moving at the same time like counterpoint.

For the left hand, you will develop finger independence. If you have a difficulty in chord changes or playing classical music written in counterpoint (like Bach), this study will be a good introduction to master left hand finger control.

For the right hand, it is mostly combination of the thumb and fingers playing alternatively, which is one of the typical finger-picking patterns.
