12/8 Strumming For Beginners

		Hello GMC! I wrote this lesson especially for beginners. Here the time signature is 12/8. I really suggest to read Andrew's lesson about time signatures.



It's really important to relax your picking arm while you're practicing. The strumming pattern is shown in the picture below and it's very simple.



Sometimes you will hit open strings while switching chords. This is not a problem here because all the chords involved in this lesson sound good with open strings. You should avoid this, using other chords, if it doesn't sounds good.
