    Ok this time we are continuing on from the previous C Extensions family, but this time we are playing the chords (same chords), but up the neck using barre chords.

    These barre chords just cover 5 strings as opposed to full 6 string barre-chords, and are easier to play than the full 6 string ones.

    They are played here using what's known as a 'ripple' technique. Which simply means rather than playing all strings at once, the strings are crossed note by note. This can be a fast or slow ripple - here it's reasonably fast.

    Then after the chords are played up the neck, we play them as arpeggios in lead style. Basically playing the notes in each chord with an overdrive/lead sound. The notes are played one by one and NOT together as in chordal fashion.

    Some of the arpeggios just use 4 strings when played and don't play the hi-E note. Notes can be left out like this when playing the arpeggios. Use whatever sounds good and fits the track. And it is also suggested to mix and match the notes in different orders.

    So we are using the chord family info we have learned but playing it in a simple lead style. This can get as complicated as you like like at later stages, and is a standard technique used in playing Jazz solo's. But here we keeping a 'Rocky' style feel to it. These arepeggios can be used with great effect in any style of music.

    M7 = Major 7
    m7 = Minor 7
