Hi GMC! Welcome to the second part of this lesson. In this part we could listening the complete song, and we analyze the chorus. The chorus is in A major key and start on F#m7, then I play D major and the phrase end in A major.
Now, the melody is repeating but I Look for a variation and I change the harmony. Then the phrase continues with a Gm and C#7 and repeats the chorus. At the second time the chorus finishes in F#m7. The Progression Gm, C#7 and F#m7 work like an II, V, I chord progression. I think when a melody is repeating it’s a good idea change the harmony, think about this!
