Larn25th September 2007Cool man, great lesson, love drean theater.
DeepRoots25th September 2007Sweet! Thats a fantastic tone you have there David. Unfortunatly my budget doesnt allow for a 7-string any time soon. I'll try to adapt some of the ideas to my 6 string though.
Gen25th September 2007Awesome man!!!!

Pavel26th September 2007That's one cool 7-string! It could use some headstock work but the body looks great - IMO!
There are so many different guitar designs, each one of them is cool on it's own!!! ![]()
Keep 7-stringing David! ![]()
SLASH9126th September 2007Yeah, thats really cool man.
Wish I had a seven string...
David Wallimann26th September 2007Thanks guys.
This one is a very cheap instrument I got on Ebay. Only paid 100 dollars for it...
It's a Galveston. Not great but good enough for recording. :-)
Gustavo26th September 2007i was watching and hearing the lesson and i started to love it... but then i realized that is on a 7-string guitar
anyway excellent lesson ![]()
Sweet!!!
You guys should tune down to B-E-A-D-G-B. You can practice that way and somewhat get the tone.
Jeff Curtis26th September 2007yaaa dream theater!
Nick32526th September 2007nice
Kristofer Dahl26th September 2007Soul Decision: Great advice! ![]()
The Uncreator26th September 2007Wish i had a 7 string even more now
RobM26th September 2007I'm still learning the 6 string so I'll wait a few more years until I buy a 7 string. Sounds great though.
krudtaa26th September 2007great lesson.
MickeM2nd November 2007Whew! I missed this lesson before. Great stuff right here!
Farbror Kudde11th November 2007very nice ![]()
Chooch12th November 2007''I'm still learning the 6 string so I'll wait a few more years until I buy a 7 string. Sounds great though. '' That's a bad way of thinking. A 7 string is just a 6 with an extra string! That one string alone opens up many arpeggio/chord/riff possibilities. I think every guitar player should own a 7.
PacmanProductions23rd November 2007awesome 7 string!.... i see u have the early ozzy look in the main vid... (hope im not insulting u)
xiphos10th February 2008hey great lesson sounds just like something they'd play im def. buying a seven string now

kevvyg23rd September 2008Is this in 5/4 time?!
David Wallimann23rd September 2008Thanks guys!
This track is all in 4/4...
Not 5/4. :-)
Déjà vu2nd November 2008The opening riff sounds a lot like "The Serpant's Kiss" by Symphony X... I really do like the riffing in this lesson though. I haven't had too many chances to play a seven string, just a cheap/low-end Schecter...
