  • Dream Theater is one of the most respected metal progressive bands. In this lesson we'll study a rythm track inspired by John Pettrucci's guitar work. This lessons is designed for 7 string guitars. Although it is possible to develop these ideas on a standard 6 string guitar, the 7 string gives this style of rythm an aggressiveness that can be lost on a standard guitar.

Use these as ideas and starting point to new song ideas.

Make sure to warm up before working on this lesson as these riffs are very demanding on the left hand.

Hope you enjoy this lesson, have a good practice!
