Hi friends! Today I recorded a lesson to explain you how to tune the guitar in dropped C, but first of all, we will talk a little about the lesson.

The backing track was recorded playing the C5 and Bb5 chords and Eb5, D5 and Db5 chords, and in the melody, basically, I played some licks using the C minor pentatonic and C minor scales.

Well, for this lesson, I tune the guitar like the D dropped but one tune down, that is C in the first string, A in the second string, F in the third string, C in the fourth string, G in the fifth string and, finally, C in the sixth string. This tune can give you and extra heavy sound!

Hope you like it!

Tempo: 100 bpm

Key: C minor.

Cool riffing and great examples - I get some association with the Nirvana song negative creep (I think that's the one) - thanks Pablo! biggrin.gif

I'm a bit confused. `Dropped C` is CGCFAD not CAFCGC? Maybe theres a different name for it or something.

Anyway, sounds great!

EDIT: The tab and the guitar is right, it's just the description that lists the wrong tuning smile.gif

I hear a lot of nirvana in the main riff there... not sure if it was negative creep, but I know it was on the same album.

Cool! but for now i cannot really play in drop c

Been looking around for these kinda lessons - it has a real Queens of the Stone Age feel to it...

Love it!
