   Hi everybody!

In this lesson I explain some riffs and concepts to create a "hard rock oriented" composition. Sometimes, in rock music riffs are composed using the low open strings (E - A) like pedal notes.

So, using the standard tuning, the E key and A key are very useful for guitar players. To avoid unwanted noise, try to mute with your right hand the lower strings when you play single notes.

You can find three backing tracks at different tempo.

Time signature: 4/4
Tempo: 160 bpm

Great lesson. The more rock riffs/rhythms...the better!
What are you using to get those cool tones??

It has a Rory Gallagher feel, maybe somebody could do something similar with rock and blues from the Gallagher feel. Great lesson. Thanks

Thank you guys!

lefty01: I wanted a real tube sound for this lesson. So... the setup is: Washburn N2 -> MXR Phase 90 -> Laney GH50L -> Rocktron Intellifex (send-return) -> Laney cabinet -> Shure SM57 -> PC

Thank you again for your feedback.
oazle: the best solution is multiple camera angles, like some Pavel and Gabriel lessons.
If I play the lesson with the left hand in a small area on the high frets the shot can be more near.
Right now, I cannot do multiple camera angles. It requires a lot of time. Maybe in the future for some lessons.
Anyway, sorry for the light condition of this lesson.

One of the best rhythm guitar pieces on this site. How do you get the volume ebbs on the 5th measure(sounds great).

chillax: Thank you! What do you with "volume ebbs"? A volume decline?

Hi Jerry...
Yes..the volume appears to swell and fade to give a nice effect..I wonder if is just the way you play it coz I cannot get the same tone.
