  • Today's lesson will focus on one of today's most influential metal bands: Lamb of God. Their aggressive riffs combined with excellent technique are worth studying.

    Before we start, we need to tune our instrument in drop D tuning. The drop D is used in many modern bands and is great to write metal riffs. To tune in drop D, just tune your low E string to a lower D note.

    Study the following piece very slowly and pay attention to the rhythm as it is very important to be precise in that style of music.
