Kristofer Dahl3rd October 2007Awesome!
(Oh and people I am warning you for Part 2 - not something for the feeble...!)
Either way. it's a great idea to split this kind of lessons up: today you will learn useful mixolydian riffing ideas - and the second part will show you how to solo, stay tuned!
Rolls3rd October 2007Great riffing. Can't wait to hear the second part.
David Wallimann3rd October 2007I love it!

Muris Varajic3rd October 2007Thanks everybody!! ![]()
Yeah, the solo part is gonna have 3 parts actually, beginner, intermediate and advanced,
so everyone shall have something to play over it. ![]()

Testament7th October 2007i've seen a lot of these extremely long scales, but i'm not sure i understand how they're played. how do you go about practicing the a mixolydian scale?
Muris Varajic7th October 2007Hi there!
Must correct you a bit regarding to terminology, there is no long scale. ![]()
In our diatonic world we have only 7 notes, that's the scale.
And we practicing it by connecting these notes through boxes and fingerboard.
You are probably thinking of this lick at the end. ![]()

Jesse5th October 2008Muris, if I would play this lesson but change all G 's to G#'s ... is it an Major riffing lesson?
Muris Varajic5th October 2008Yes,with G# instead of G you'd get pure A major/ionian. ![]()
