Hello GMC - with this lesson I will try to introduce to the Nuno Bettencourt's guitar playing.

Nuno came up with Extreme around in the early 90's. His playing was influenced by guitarists like Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Al Di Meola and others.

I always loved his writing skills. When I started to listen to Extreme records, I have been amazed by
the guitar parts. There are a lot of groovy riffs, awesome solos, acoustic parts and so on.
I would to dedicate this lesson to my friend Oliver. He made me listen to Extreme for the first time, when I was a young boy.

Ooops! I forgot to paint my nails black...
I hope this not affect the lesson's outcome!

Time signature: 4/4
Tempo: 118 bpm

Enjoy!

Thank you guys!! I'm really glad you like this.
jeff: I use Zoom my G2.1u. To be honest, I found this patch on http://zoom.haax.se/
I made a little different setting. By the way, this help me to record the lesson more quickly, without using SM57 mic, head, cabinet... a lot of saved time!!!!
Eat-Sleep-andJam: smile.gif
Gabriel: I've seen some videos of SP. I think to purchase the CD via Ebay in the next weeks.
Nuno actually is leaved the band, as you know.
The secret (no more secret smile.gif ) plan is an Extreme reunion for a new album!! shhhh....
Iluha: Yes, you are right! I love Get the funk out. It's my favourite rock solo and I put here a "tribute lick".
Well, the tab in the original book is TOTALLY wrong for the tapping section!
Check this out:

Better transcription!
GroovinMastiff: can I ask some royalties to the Boston Funk-Metal band?? smile.gif
