Odd Grooves, Rhythm Playing
Hello GMC and welcome to my lesson called Odd Grooves. Here we are going to play some kind of rhythm licks using bars 4/4,5/4,6/4 and 7/4. Order of these bars isn't that obvious so focus yourself in which bar you're currently in. As for the technique, you can use all downstrokes if you want cause its nothing too fast indeed. If not, then go for alternate, maybe combined with all downstrokes, this is fully up to you guys. :)
Chords we have here are G#m7/9, Eadd9, C#m7 and Aadd9. So basically it's all in key of G# minor except this last chord Aadd9, it's from G# Phrygian,2nd degree of this mode.
I used kind of an overdrive sound with pinch harmonics here and there, these harmonics sound really nice here so give it a shot if you want, not the must tho. Tempo is 155 bpm but we are playing 8th notes top so it's not that fast as it seems. :D
