Hello GMC! In this lesson we are going to talk about metal rhythm guitar. I composed this one for Power Metal Project (I didn’t recorded it yet) of my own and I think that is a good lesson to practice rhythm guitar and to talk about guitar arrangement.
When I composed this tune's solo I first created the chord progression and the vocal melody. Then Ï used different chord’s positions and added some scale notes to make it sound more interesting than simple chords.
You will find three parts in this lesson: The intro/verse, the bridge and the chorus of the song.

Key: A minor
Tempo: 120

Enjoy it!

Gabriel.-

Great lesson as always!

Gabriel I think your lessons are my favorite!

I'm having trouble with the stretch...4 frets is my max at the moment but I'm getting better.

Thank you very much for the nice comments about my lesson! smile.gif

Chast: I think that Queensryche & Edguy's first albums would be a good choice if you are looking for this kind of music.

I have a question:

--I can't get the first lick to sound right, the D5 with the hammer onto the E (9th fret), then the pull-off and subsequent power chord.

Sounds like the D5 on the 7th fret is not allowed to ring, and that what is heard during the hammer-on and pull-off part is only what is happening on that one string. So the D string is muted after the D5 is played. Right?
