Hi GMC! I wrote this lesson to give you some funkiness and I hope you will like it. This is a rhythm lesson but it's not an easy one.

To play this style you need to relax your picking arm. Also, you must be able to mute the strings with your fingering hand while you're playing.

If you are new to the this type of playing I suggest you to start with some basic lessons and exercises.

Anyway, if you don't like funk music at all, you can find some chord diagrams here, at least! :D

I wanted a guitar sound like an old radio, so here is the setting for my Korg Pandora.

Dyna: Comp 5.0
Amp: Jazz - Gain 10.0 - Bass 6.0 - Treble 9.0 - Middle 4
Cab: AC 2x15 - Value 5.7
Dly: PPDLY2 - Value 4.7 - Delay Time 355
Rev: Room1 - Value 3.7
NR: Value 2.3

Time signature: 4/4 - one bar uses the 2/4 time signature. Check the Guitar Pro file.

Tempo: 116 bpm

Enjoy!
