  Great Lian, sounds 100% like Testament...The Ritual is the album I like most...considering that the band's albums are very different! I don't like the album Demon for instance, you cannot compare it to The Ritual, Demon is just too hard for me However, thanks for the great lesson, this "in style of" was still missing here at GMC!

  You should do another one with more of their Trademark stuff, like those tricky pickslides they pull off inbetween the riffs, or some "Over the Wall" kinda stuff. Great lesson! keep em coming!

Hi there, Lian here once again, this time playing in the style of Testament. This lesson was a request from the following members: TreyDeschamp, JVM, Audiopaal, Fatb0t. (thanks for thinking of me:p) So, I hope you like and help you

About the lesson:
This one, is based on Testament´s album called Ritual released in 1992, the style could be called "trash metal" but, in this album there´s a lot of metal influences. So, you can check out bands like Metallica (before black album) Megadeth, Overkill, and many many others.

We have 2 part in this one:
Riff part, we´ll use classic licks from the style, palm muting, power chords (fives n fours)
Solo part, we´ll use pentatonic scales, tapping patterns, natural harmonics, pinch harmonics, legato, slide.
