Rik Veldhuizen20th August 2007What always amazes me looking at your vids is the length of your 'little' finger... not little at all
Mine stops little over halfway my ringfinger, yours seems to be almost as long... no wonder it looks so easy

Maximus26th August 2007Gabriel,
I am a new member and I wanted to say that I love your lessons. Can you tell me how you get that tone for this piece? I am specifically referring to that squeal at the end of your notes.
Love the lesson. A great one for beginners wanting to play something that sounds like music and not just an exercise.
Big fan of Velvet Revolver.
kahall27th August 2007Gabriel -> Super Human ;-)
kevin-riff-after-riff27th August 2007i saw them live as well in june, and they were awsome. there is a thread somewhere about how awsome they are =]
Make another lesson, but make it more challenging! Some more difficult solos would be much appreciated!
The-Levy2nd September 2007I think what he does is an artificial harmonic maximus. Great lesson Gabriel. Exelente!!!
Good stuff
Wonderful as usually. And I won't stop to thank you to create this kind of lessons : playable by beginners like me, useful to acquire some technics and most of all, it doesn't sound like an exercise but it ROXXXXXXXXXX !!!
My wife is greatly impressed by my improving level
Thanks to you.
Gabriel Leopardi21st September 2007Hey! Thank you! I'm glad that you like it and that you are improving your playing with my lessons.
Chris: Yes, this is the dropped D tunning.
gabriel.-
GABRIEL!!!!
I have had my guitar for a year, but havent played much at all because I was so discouraged that I wasnt making progress. I've had some time over the last few days and learned most of this lesson. AND I can almost play along with the backing track without errors. This is BY FAR the best and most exciting moment of my "guitar career", if that's what you want to call it..hehe.
I have renewed interest in continuing to play now!
THank you SO much for putting this together!
Doug
Gabriel Leopardi21st September 2007It's nice to hear that Doug! I fel so glad about it! Thank you.
gabriel.-
g-forcelover13th October 2007hey, slash was the reason I started to play guitar when I was 11. ![]()
Gabriel Leopardi16th October 2007Yeah g-force! Mine too. I think that he has been an important inspiration for lots of guitar players.
I just started playin' about 3 mos ago (40...mid-life crisis - LOL). I'll echo all of y'all on the Slash man!! One awesome guitarist!!! I'm chasin' down an amp to mimic the tone!
Great job Gabriel! sicne I've signed up on this site, I've really enjoyed your teaching!
Like it!
Funnily Slash is also one of my main-influences, and he also made me start play guitar at the age of 11:D

sounds like some kind of harmonizing effect at around 00:49 - 00:54
Alexiaden9326th April 2009This song is really cool ! I really enjoy the sound of the open string kind of making a funky bass line. Anyway the high quality of this lesson doesn't surprise me after having seen your other lessons... You rock !

Dexter28th August 2009I'm in love with this lesson =). Along with many other that I practice... Rocker Riff 2, Stoner Rock 2, Satriani Style rock, etc. All have a certain sound that my ears just absolutely love.
Gabriel Leopardi28th August 2009

Gabriel gives a lesson inspired by Slash and Velvet Revolver. In this lesson you'll find a short song in the style of Velvet's songs like "Slither" or "She builds machines".
