      Rock music as we know it today would not be the same without the eighties. Many bands back then have influenced musicians today in many ways. The most important thing in the following examples is to stay as melodic as possible.


    Rock music as we know it today would not be the same without the eighties. Many bands back then have influenced musicians today in many ways.

    In today's lesson, we'll study a guitar solo in the style of an 80's band. The most important thing in the following examples is to stay as melodic as possible.

    The key of the track is in A Major and we'll use a combination of 3 notes per string scales with major pentatonics.

    Practice the following slowly and don't forget to apply what you've learned in your own music!
