Well this seemed to be a popular one - it's fantastic to get lessons treating a completely new style!
oops! Please disregard previous post.
Great lesson! Cant wait for the next one.
TheProof18th February 2007when you do it slow, you bend the pinch harmonics like mad, but when you play it at the normal speed you dont, i was a little confused for a minute there i dont know if anyone else noticed that or not but.. it just kinda mixxed me up
Pavel19th February 2007It was not bending but a vibrato! It would be very borring if i just let the note sound for 2 minutes straight with no vibrato. That's the difference in playing fast and slow.
Ryan14th March 2007lol..i was tryin this riff out...lol...and i learned how to do the harmonics....haha...its not perfect yet...but now i got how to do it...this riff is awesome pavel!!!!!!
Pavel30th March 2007Thanks man! I am glad if this inspire you for playing!

Wow, I love metal and I'm very into it but could never quite decide what style I want to learn... now I know!!!
Ben N14th October 2007excellent ![]()
god this is so hard XD i can easily play this without the artificial harmonics but to play them i need to lower my speed to about 80 bpm and even then sometimes i don't get the harmonics out..
are there any tips i could use for this? ![]()
Ivan Milenkovic10th February 2008I have seen this recently Pavel, and it rocks man. Keep rockin! ![]()

Carlos Carrillo29th March 2008good job and nice lesson Pavel!!!

In this lesson we will use speedpicking licks to create a speed riff. If you ever listened to any power-metal bands you probably wondered how do they come up with their riffs and speedriffing is a good example of that. When you finish playing this riff you'll notice that all we did was combining simple powerchords with scales. Sounds interesting? Get on it!
