Time for the second Alternate Picking Lesson. In this lesson we will move down to 3rd and 4th strings to make it more interesting and also to practice your thumb as this excercise will force you to KEEP YOUR THUMB IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NECK - as well as to force you to MUTE THE STRINGS you don't play. So if you are ready for more shred - get in here!!

Thanks for the new lesson. My picking was the problem when I joined the site, now my picking is up and my fingering is running behind. These lesson are helping in that area for me. Still like to see a little more info on acceleration. It is still the switching between jogging and running where I am so stuck.

PS, After spending so much time on the first lesson I am tickled pink at how fast I can play this one, another step taken and it provides motivation for another day.

This is a great lesson! I've been loving to just shred whenever I play, and this is great for my technique.

Victafor: i guess it's because you get so concentrated on what you play that your muscles move automatically!!

If you watch Rusty's instructionals he also does some funny faces when he gets to ultra fast speed!!

It's nothing bad and you should bother with it at all! smile.gif Football players also do hilarious faces when hitting a ball full strength!! smile.gif
