Hello GMC! In this lesson we'll try to learn how to play the tune called "Blue Note In A", it's on my debut album called "Let It Out". This first part of this Song-Lesson covers main theme played on very soft overdrive tone, almost a clean sound. Now,chops in here are surely not hard to learn or execute technique wise but it's dynamic in playing that gives the flavor to this part of tune.

Some notes are more accented, some are kind a swallowed etc. It's actually pretty common when you play Bluesy stuff and this tune is surely one of that kind. Rhythmic is something that is also interesting in this section and in Blues playing in general, many notes are not played straight on the beat but slightly ahead or before the beat. It's very hard to write all those moves in notation correctly so forgive me if I made some small mistakes in GP file, rhythmic wise. Best option is to let yourself to the groove and feel of the tune, those "off beat" notes will come out of your very natural.

It's in key of A minor and scale used here is straight Am Pentatonic Scale.
Tempo is 87 BPM, 6/8 measure.

I used Korg Pandora PX4D as always and here are the settings:
SGL>HUM 10.0
US HI-G Gain 1.7 Bass 2.0 Middle 2.0 Treble 9.0
JAZ 1x15 8.0
Mod FX OFF
PPDLY3 3.0
PLATE2 4.3
NR 8.3

Hope you'll like it! :)
