Today we will use the Dorian scale in the key of A with some added chromatic notes to create a jazzy bebop type of improvisation. Using chromatic notes can expand your playing in a fabulous way.

The secret while playing chromatic is to land on a note of the original key. Practice the following licks slowly with a steady rhythm feel. Once you are comfortable with these, use the looped backing track and experiment with what you've learned. Be creative and practice seriously.

Have fun!
