A chromatic scale is a scale that utilizes all the 11 notes heard between two octaves.
The most important thing when playing chromatic is the landing note as that's the one that will ring in the listener's ear. In other words, resolution is what's important. In order to do that it's very helpful to memorize a few licks to train your hands to reach that landing note automatically.

This lesson is constructed on a C Mixolydian track. All the landing notes of the following licks will be found in the C Mixolydian scale.

I hope you enjoy this lesson and hope this will inspire you to create very cool and personal chromatic licks.

Enjoy!

this is a terrible newb question and may not even apply here. But I was wondering one, what bpm are you using? And two how many notes are you playing per beat, like on the beginning part the --5-6-7---
---8-------
Are you playing those four in one beat? I can't really tell from the video.
