Hello GMC crowd and welcome to my Country Picking serial, Advanced level this time.

It's standard Country chord progression, I-IV-V, we are in A key so we have A, D and E chords. Scale wise I used more of them, A Mixolydian, A major scale, A major pentatonic:
A Dorian, A minor pentatonic.

It's all related to chord progression, you'll realize it in a second. :)

Tempo is 155bpm,4/4 bar, we'll be playing 16th notes most of the time.

Techniques involved:
alternate picking, "chicken" picking, use of open strings, bends.

Voice-over by Mr. Andrew Cockburn.

Have fun! :)

Muris Varajic

Fantastic!
What a coincidence, I just read your answer
telling me about the 3rd being the difference
between Mixo and Dorian,
and I find that C note here again!
Anyway, you two make a super team!
Congrats on your first lesson together!
Muris, I'll tackle this one in 10 years, maybe...

Give it a try Jason, use slower backing and slowly upgrade the tempo step by step.
It's about staying clean and accurate,we don't need rush here,don't worry. smile.gif

Well everything takes hard work. And based on your life story, you have probably seen things that we have not, or never want to see. You can call it hard work, and it is, but you have a talent that transends this world. Godspeed......

I think the talking in the video is a waste of time, since it is only a repeat of the text already there. It maybe alright for someone that can't read though.
I have limited megabytes monthly so have to be carefull what I download, for me the talking is not good,it simply uses to many mb.

Apart from that I think your lessons are fantastic Muris.

you must understand others needs as well. sad.gif
