  • There is so much you can do with pentatonic scales. Today's lesson will help you master that scale with some fast alternate picking licks that you can use in any musical context. This lesson will use only the first position of the minor pentatonic scale. We'll start in the key of G minor to end in A minor.

Make sure to be very familiar with the scale position and practice slowly to assure a strong solid clean technique. Remember to breathe while playing, it will help your muscles relax and play smoothly. As always, pay close attention to the rhythm placement of each examples. Once you are comfortable with these, create your own.

    Have fun!
