Fingers Independence III
Hi, is Danilo here. Welcome to the third lesson about "Fingers independence". I hope you liked the lesson one and two, but if you are here you are at least curious right?
In this lesson we look again at the independence and resistence of your fingers, but this time we'll force your hand to make some stretches!
Practice these exercises ten minutes each day at alternatives periods with the lesson one and two, but be REALLY careful with these exercise, don't push yourself over the limit, because the stretchings can cause problems to your hands!
As ever, read the explanations and DON'T HURT YOURSELF!
See you next time, looking forward the fourth lesson about "Fingers Independence".
Thanks to everybody.

| The target of this exercise ( Stretching I ) is improve the independence, strength and stretch of your fingers. Starting from a close position, we'll try to stretch the fingers leaving a fret between them.
Try to push the notes with your fingertips and let all the notes rings.
Practice this exercise very slow and with care, we don't want to feel pain!
In the example I start from the 12th fret, but you can start from the 19th if your hands are small or you have problem at the beginning. Then you can move up to the lower position ( I can play at the 2nd fret ). I suggest to practice this exercise sitting on a chair to make the hand moving with more confidence ( in the video my guitar was too low so I'd quite hurt my hand).
The right hand simply work this way: thumb on the 4th string, index 3rd, medium 2nd and ring 1st.
If you like practice with the metronome, but most important is... you are note Superman, stop if you feel pain!!! |

| I call this last exercise ( Stretching II ) Spidermad! This can result quite tricky but we are strong enough to kill him!! In this exercise one finger at time, change is position with each others.
The starting position is: Index on the 6th string, medium on the 4th, ring 3rd and pinky 1st.
The index change is position with medium, then with the ring and finally with the pinky.
Now is the time of our medium who change is position with the ring, then pinky and last with the index...then ring on the 6th string, pinky on the 4th, index 3rd and medium 1st.
The ring change is position with pinky, then with the index and finally with the medium. Now is the time of our pinky who change is position with the index, then medium and last with the ring... et voilą, the starting position is comeback!! Try to push the note with your fingertips.
I suggest to practice this exercise sitting on a chair to make the hand moving with more confidence ( in the video my guitar was too low so I'd quite hurt my hand).
The right hand simply work this way: thumb on the 6th string, index 4th, medium 3rd and ring or pinky 1st. If you like practice with the metronome, but most important is...you are note Superman, stop if you feel pain!!! |
