Kristofer Dahl2nd February 2007Aryo: Then you gotta play it faster!! ![]()
Great solo, great lesson!
... I've noticed, that when you play the first piece of the speed run fast, you use alot of hammer-ons. Atleast thats what it looks like... But when you play it slow, you pick on every note. Which way should i practice it? (So far i have picked on every note)
Kristofer Dahl2nd February 2007The Dane: Thank you! Well - as mentioned in the lesson mixing hammer-ons with picking can be easier. However, of you can do it with 100% picking you shouldn't have any problems adding hammer-ons... So the choice is yours!
Ok! Think I'll go with the 100% picking then! ![]()
Clueless19th March 2007wow thats fast
that lesson was awesome! love the funky feelin ![]()
PacmanProductions9th October 2007that intro is really fast!...
around the slower part after that is sounds like little kids talking and then a man saying something.... is that the backing track or a mistake in recording?
Kristofer Dahl9th October 2007It's me saying "practice" with different voices - it's a hidden message!!
![]()
Andrew Cockburn9th October 2007^^
That was an early attempt - in later lessons he is saying "Join GMC Join GMC" really quietly so you don't realize it!
Kristofer Dahl9th October 2007^^ Andrew made me do it!! ![]()
Andrew Cockburn9th October 2007^^ Hah, yes, using the hidden messages in my theory lessons - easy really as everyone is usually asleep by the 4th paragraph
![]()
Kristofer Dahl9th October 2007
So you mean people are easier to indoctrinate when they're asleep - I'll remember that!
ZZZzzz
Andrew Cockburn9th October 2007^^ You will give all GMC moderators a huge pay rise, you will give all GMC moderators a huge pay rise ^^
Damn, I do it for free anyway ![]()
Kristofer Dahl9th October 2007My idea was rather to instead of finding all the coolest instructors - we are going to find people that make our students fall asleep. They will then be be open for hidden messages, such "fooolllooow Andrew's amp mooodelling blllloooog".
What do you say? ![]()
Andrew Cockburn9th October 2007I like it - where else can you get quality guitar instruction and sleep therapy all at the same time ??
Kristofer Dahl9th October 2007Without wanting to sound disrespectful - there actually already are a whole bunch of such places!! ![]()
edit: sorry I missed the quality bit ![]()
Andrew Cockburn9th October 2007Kris, you are a funny guy
![]()
kris..i ve been playing for 10 years but i am nowhere close to your skill..is it true that anybody can become like you if they practice? or is it that some people just dont have the talent?
Kristofer Dahl14th November 2007Yes absolutely - I am learning to sing currently!
How many hours per day have you been practcing those 10 years? ![]()

"Map My Gap" fusion solo lesson continued. This part will be an excellent illustration on how to create a speedpicking run from our 101 speedpicking lesson patterns. The solo also yields some horizontal phrasing à la Steve Vai as well a some Eric Johnson style arpeggios. In this lesson you will find some difficult techniques as well some intermediate licks.
